USNMix Report: Gratuity can be found even before 5 years,
but this is a condition.

Gratuity is given to the employee for five consecutive years of working in an institution. However, from time to time, there is a demand from employee organizations to reduce its time limit from five years. If the time limit for gratuity is reduced, it will benefit 125 crore employees. Under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, gratuity is available to every employee of an institution where more than 10 employees work. Recently, the government has increased the amount of tax free gratuity from 10 lakh to 20 lakh rupees.

There can also be a change in the calculation of gratuity
Recently it was also reported that the methods of calculation of gratuity can also be changed. In the midst of all this, the question of people is usually whether there are any circumstances in which gratuity amount can be received before five years. Let us tell you that this is possible only in three circumstances.
Gratuity Payment before 5 years of completion

On death of the employee
Unfortunately in the case of an employee who dies before 5 years while working in a company or institution, in such a case, the family members of the employee are paid the amount of regular gratuity.
Having physical disability
Apart from this, the female or male employee becomes a victim of physical disability due to some accident or illness while doing the job. In such a situation, the amount of gratuity is paid to the employee as per rules by the employer.

Job over four and a half years
If the employee in a company completes a job for more than four and a half years i.e. 4 years 7 months, then in this case the last year is considered to be the full year of the employee. That is, in the final year, if the employee works for more than 6 months, then he is paid gratuity from the employer. Under no other circumstances is the company obliged to pay gratuity for 5 years.
