Maruti Suzuki India has launched the CNG variant of its favorite hatchback car WagonR. The company has introduced CNG with only one engine CNG option in the new WagonR.
Maruti Suzuki India has launched the CNG variant of its favorite hatchback car WagonR. The company has introduced CNG with only one engine CNG option in the new WagonR. According to the reports, the CNG option has been launched in Maruti WagonR’s base model Lxi and Lxi (O) only. These two variants have a 1.0-liter petrol engine. According to ZigWheels news, the starting price of WagonR LXI CNG is 4.84 lakh rupees. At the same time, LXI (O) CNG’s X showroom price is 4.84 lakh rupees. This is more than 65,000 rupees for the price of the petrol variant base model.
Centro CNG to be a collision Talking about WagonR CNG, it will be directly tied to CNG variants of Centro, in terms of market and price. The price at which WagonR has been launched is very cheap with Hyundai Santro CNG. The initial price of Centro CNG variant is Rs 5.23 lakh. However, the reason for Centro CNG being expensive is that the company gives the CNG option in its top variant.
WagonR CNG has been introduced in three color options. They have white, silver and gray color themes. WagonR was launched in a petrol variant in a 6-color option. WagonR’s CNG model is the most popular in the commercial market. At the same time, some private buyers also buy WagonR’s CNG models because of the low cost.
Engine is like
A 1.0-liter K-series engine was provided in the CNG variant of WagonR. This engine will generate 70 Nm torque with 59 Bhp power. The 1.0-liter engine powered by petrol generates 90 Nm torque with 67 Bhp power. CNG variants will only be available with manual transmission in WagonR.
Engine in petrol variants
WagonR is available in two petrol engine options right now. It has a swift K-Series 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine, which generates 113Nm torque with 83hp power. The second is the 1.0-liter engine with the old WagonR model, which generates 90 nm torque with 67hp power. Both engines are equipped with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic gearbox (AGS).
The company claims that the Wager CNG variants mileage will be 33.54 km per kilogram. WagonR’s petrol variant has a mileage of 22.5-kilometer per liter in a 1.0-liter engine. At the same time, the 1.2-liter engine gives mileage of 21.5 kilometers per liter.
